Privacy Policy for Andro
Fawad Yahya ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Andro mobile application (the "App"), an educational fertility and IVF companion for both partners. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and how it is protected. We built Andro around a simple principle: your fertility data is sensitive, so it stays on your device by default, and nothing leaves it without a clear, specific reason.
The short version: Andro doesn't require an account, doesn't run its own user database, and stores your saved analyses, cycle data, and settings only on your device. The one thing that leaves your device is the text of a report you actively choose to scan — sent only to generate that one AI explanation, never stored permanently by us.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Scanned report text: When you use the AI Scan feature, you provide the text of a semen analysis or hormone panel report — either by typing it in, or by taking/uploading a photo that is converted to text on your device (on-device OCR). This text is what gets sent for analysis; see Section 3 for exactly where it goes.
- App preferences: Your selected track (male/female), language, theme (dark/light), and countdown/cycle settings.
Automatically collected information
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version (anonymous, not tied to an identity).
- Advertising identifiers: If you allow tracking, an advertising identifier may be used by our ad provider to show and measure ads.
- Purchase/entitlement status: Whether you've purchased "Remove Ads" or AI-scan credits, and how many credits remain, managed via RevenueCat (Section 3).
What we do not collect
Andro has no login, no account creation, and no user profile. We do not ask for your name, date of birth, or any other directly identifying information. We do not build a server-side database of your reports, scan results, or health history.
2. How We Use Information
- To generate an AI-powered, plain-language explanation of the values in a report you choose to scan
- To remember your app preferences and locally saved analysis history between sessions
- To display advertisements (Google AdMob)
- To process and validate in-app purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play, via RevenueCat)
- To maintain and improve the App
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each of which handles a narrow, specific part of what Andro does:

4. AI Scan: What Happens to Your Report
This is the most sensitive feature in Andro, so here is the complete flow, step by step:
- You take a photo of a report (or type/paste the text). If you use a photo, the image is processed for text on your device — the photo itself is never uploaded anywhere.
- The extracted or typed text is sent, over an encrypted connection, to our Cloudflare Worker.
- The Worker forwards that text — along with the App's own published reference ranges (e.g. WHO 2021 semen parameters) — to Anthropic's Claude AI, solely to generate an explanation.
- The explanation is returned to your device and shown to you.
- Neither our server nor Anthropic retains your report text after the request completes. We do not build a history, dataset, or profile from scanned reports.
- If you choose to save the result, it is saved only in local storage on your device (SharedPreferences) — never in a cloud database we operate. Deleting the App deletes this history.
5. Medical Disclaimer
Andro provides general, educational information about fertility lab values and the IVF process. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and AI-generated explanations are not a substitute for a conversation with a qualified doctor, fertility specialist, or clinic. Always discuss your specific results and care with a healthcare professional.
6. Children's Privacy
Andro is intended for adults navigating conception, fertility, or IVF, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will address it.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your saved analyses, app preferences, and AI-scan credit balance are stored locally on your device using standard secure local storage (SharedPreferences on iOS/Android). Data in transit to our Cloudflare Worker and to Anthropic is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We do not operate a cloud database of user reports or health data.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Use Andro without ever creating an account.
- Delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the App from your device.
- Disable advertising tracking in your device settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking; Android: Settings › Privacy › Ads).
- Restore previous purchases at any time from Andro's Settings screen ("Restore Purchases").
- Contact us with any question or concern about your data — see Section 10.
9. In-App Purchases
Andro offers the following in-app purchases:
- Remove Ads (one-time purchase)
- AI Scan Credits — 1 scan, or a 5-scan pack (consumable)
Payment is processed by Apple or Google, and entitlements are tracked via RevenueCat (Section 3). We do not store your payment information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date above.
